  • After attending Malborough College, Kingsford went on the represent their old boys team, Old Marlburians, Wanderers and Crystal Palace (amateurs). His stint at Wanderers from 1872-1875 coincided with his best days. Wanderers won the FA Cup in 1873 and Kingsford was top scorer in England during the 1873-74 season. The first player on record to score five goals in a game when Wanderers beat Farningham 16-0 in 1874. He succeeded Charles Alcock as Wanderers secretary in 1874. He kept wicket for Surrey in three matches between 1872-84. He emigrated to Adelaide, Australia but returned to live in Guernsey, where his wife was born. He died suddenly at his home at the age of 45.
